Participation is free for members of our squad program (Junior Squad and above). Being comfortable and knowing what to do is huge for a young swimmer’s confidence!ĭragon Racing is held every Saturday morning at the Wesley College Pool from 8.00am-9.00am The swimmers will learn not only the skills necessary for successful racing but also will become aware of what to do at a swimming race day.

The program is designed to teach racing skills and then to have a go at implementing them in an informal racing situation. Sport is excellent with a huge number of fixtures against other schools and Drama is also really big at the school with plenty of opportunities to get involved.Īlthough not super selective on entry, children at The Dragon do extremely well and many progress to top senior schools with scholarships.Dragon Racing has been developed as an introduction to racing for our swimmers progressing from lessons and into our younger squad groups. Classes are generally around 18 children and there is setting in Maths, Science and French. The school occupies a large campus with outstanding facilities including a light and airy modern library, a swimming pool and very impressive rooms for Art and DT. Kindness and service to others are at the core of the school’s ethos. This is a school where boys and girls are encouraged to think creatively, to explore the world around them and strive for excellence in every way.

The school was founded in 1877, initially to teach the children of the university professors. The school is home to over 800 children, of whom just over 230 are boarders and live in one of the school’s eight cosy boarding houses. Dragon School is a large co-educational prep school located in the university city of Oxford and a school which bustles with purposeful activity.
